緊急学長メッセージ

令和8年7月28日に発生した令和8年熊本地震により、尊い命を失われた方々に深く哀悼の意を表します。また、負傷された方、被災された方、そのご家族および関係の皆様に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

本学では現在、学生・幼児・児童・生徒・教職員の安否確認を進めるとともに、施設等の被害状況の把握に努めております。

余震が続くことが予想されます。皆様におかれましては、ご自身ならびに関係する皆様の安全確保を最優先に行動していただきますようお願い申し上げます。

本学は、関係機関と連携し、復旧および支援に向けて全力で取り組んでまいります。

Emergency Message from the President

I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who lost their precious lives in the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake that struck on July 28, 2026. I also extend my heartfelt sympathies to all those who were injured or otherwise affected by this disaster, as well as to their families and loved ones.

Kumamoto University is currently working to confirm the safety of our students, children and students in our affiliated kindergarten and schools, faculty, and staff, while also assessing the extent of any damage to our campuses and facilities.

As aftershocks are expected to continue, I sincerely urge everyone to place the highest priority on your own safety and the safety of those around you.

Kumamoto University will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities and partner organizations, and we are fully committed to supporting recovery efforts and providing all possible assistance to our university community.
