Zengaku Kyouiku Tou B-201 Academic guidance for new exchange students All new exchange students are required to attend this guidance.
October 5th
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Zengaku Kyouiku Tou E-205 Japanese Placement Test and Orientation for Japanese Classes All students who wish to take "Japanese Language and Studies Classes" must take the Japanese Placement Test. Please come to the International Student Office at 8:45 a.m.
October 5th
4:10 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Zengaku Kyouiku Tou C-301 University Orientation for New International Students All new international students should attend this orientation. Please come to the International Student Office at 4:00 p.m.
October 6th
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kusunoki Kaikan Opening Ceremony for students who belong to the Short Term Exchange Program Course Students who belong to the exchange students who enrolled at the Kumamoto University in October are invited to participate in the opening ceremony.
October 6th
4:10 p.m. - 5:40 p.m.
Zengaku Kyouiku Tou C-301 Living in Kumamoto Orientation for New International Students All new international students should attend this orientation. Please come to the International Student Office at 4:00 p.m.

Orientation for Staying at the Kumamoto University International House in October
Orientation will be held between September 29th to October 1st for students living in Kumamoto University International House.
All international students moving in from October should attend one of the orientations during the days.
● Necessary documents:Passport, two identification photos, orientation package
● Please do not be late!

Japanese Language Classes
The Center for Globalization offers various kinds of classes about the Japanese language and Japanese studies for international students and researchers in Kumamoto University.

※All students who wish to take "Japanese Language and Studies Classes" must first take the Japanese Plasement test on October 5th.

October 2nd International Student Office Application Submit Submit an “Application Form for Japanese Language Placement Test” to the International Student Office. (Students can obtain the form at the International Student Office.)

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
E-205, Zengaku Kyouiku Tou Orientation for the Japanese Classes and the Japanese Language Placement Test Take the Japanese Placement Test at the Zengaku Kyouiku Tou E-305. If you are unable to take the test at the day, please contact International Student Office as soon as possible.
October 6th Center for Globalization Result Announcement of the Japanese placement test The results of the Japanese Placement Test will be announced on the bulletin board of the Center for Glovalization.
October 5th - 6th Center for Globalization HIRAGANA Class Japanese beginner should take this class.
October 6th - 7th Center for Globalization Registration Advise Advisors fit you Japanese classes for your Japanese ability.
October 7th Japanese language classes start
October 13th Class registration ○Undergraduate students and exchange students:
Register by SOSEKI.
Exchange students are also required to submit the form for class registration to the International Student Office by October 13th.
○Graduate students and research students:
Submit an "Registration Form for the Japanese Language and Studies Classes" to the International Student Office by October 20th.
October 20th International Student Office Application Submit Submit an “Registration Form for the Japanese Classes for Researchers” to the International Student Office. (Students can obtain the form at the International Student Office.)
