Admission for Graduate Students
Qualifications
- Master's course applicants: The completion of 16 years of education in a country other than Japan.
- Doctoral course applicants: The completion of a master's degree course in a country other than Japan.
- PhD course in the Faculty of Medicine: The completion of 18 years of education in a country other than Japan.


As the qualifications vary among graduate schools, please refer to each application handbook.

Admissions Procedures
Application forms will be available at the Admission Section, Kumamoto University. Applicants should submit the application forms to the Admission Section by the appointed day.
Kumamoto University grants admission to applicants based on the results of an entrance examination, as well as an examination of each applicant's application documents. Regarding the contents of the examinations, please refer to each respective application form.
Successful applicants will be notified by mail within a month of their examination.
