Student Exchange Agreement signed with Dong-A University
Kumamoto University has signed a student exchange agreement with Dong-A University, South Korea.
The signing ceremony was held in Kumamoto University on February 15, 2005. In attendance were Kumamoto University President Tatsuro Sakimoto,
Vice-President Tomomichi Ono, Dean of the Faculty of Letters Masato Mori, as well as Dong-A University President Jae-Rong Choi and Professor KIM Jong-hoon.
Dong-A University, located in South Korea's second largest city of Pusan, is a top-level university that has produced outstanding results,
especially in the fields of humanities, medicine and engineering.
It has played a central role in the Pusan (Keinan County) area in the cultivation of high-caliber research engineers in the science and technology field.
The university had already established student exchange agreements with several other universities in Japan,
but had also wanted to establish one with a university in Kyushu, a region that it has close geographical and historical ties with.
