The Center for AIDS research conducts research on the pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of AIDS. The center also promotes the development of AIDS research by doing cooperative research with other Centers for AIDS Research located both in Japan and abroad.
In addition, the center contributes to comprehensive measures to combat AIDS by providing information in such areas as AIDS-related research and the prevention of the transmission of the disease.
